First Joyful Mystery: The Annunciation of the Archangel Gabriel to the Virgin Mary.

O God, ✠ come to my assistance, O Lord, make haste to help me.

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins and save us from the fires of Hell. Lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of Thy mercy.

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen

Hail Mary, full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. (Recite 10 times.)

Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. What are the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary?

The Joyful Mysteries are five: the Annunciation, the Visitation, the Nativity of Jesus, the Presentation in the Temple, and the Finding of Jesus among the Doctors.

When are the Joyful Mysteries meditated?

According to tradition, they are meditated on Mondays and Saturdays, and on the Sundays of Advent and Christmas.
