This wonderful institution of the Holy Rosary, which has some connection with the way in which God gave his law to the world on Mount Sinai, clearly demonstrates the excellence of this divine practice. Saint Dominic, inspired by the Holy Spirit, instructed by the Blessed Virgin and by his own experience, preached the Holy Rosary throughout the rest of his life, by example, and with a clear voice in towns and villages, before great and small, before learned and ignorant, before Catholics and heretics. The Holy Rosary, which he recited daily, was for him a preparation before preaching and its establishment after preaching.
