The Blessed Virgin also said to him one day, in order to encourage him still more to preach the Holy Rosary: You were a great sinner in your youth, but I obtained your conversion from my Son. I prayed for you and, if possible, desired every kind of suffering to save you, because converted sinners are my glory, and to make you worthy to preach my Rosary everywhere. Saint Dominic, revealing to him the great fruits which he had produced among the people through this beautiful devotion which he constantly preached to them, said to him: See how I preach this sermon in this way, and also how you, and all lovers of Mary, will be able to lead all men to the knowledge of all the virtues. See the fruits which I have produced by preaching the Holy Rosary; do likewise, you and all others who love the Blessed Virgin, so that, through this holy practice of the Rosary, you may draw all peoples to the true knowledge of the virtues.
