It is impossible to express how much the Blessed Virgin Mary excels the Rosary in all other devotions, how magnificently she rewards those who labor to preach, institute, and worship it, and on the contrary, how terrible she is against those who oppose it. Nothing was so dear to Saint Dominic in his life as to praise the Blessed Virgin, to preach her greatness, and to incite all to honor her with her Rosary. This powerful Queen of Heaven also never ceased to shower this saint with blessings and to crown his labors with a thousand miracles and wonders. He never asked God for anything that he did not obtain through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin, and, as it were, a supreme grace, made him the victor over the Albigensian heresy and the father and patriarch of a great order.
