Among the wonderful things that the Blessed Virgin revealed to Blessed Alan de la Rupe (and we know that this great devotee of Mary confirmed her revelations with an oath), three are most notable: first, that it is a probable and imminent sign of eternal reprobation to be negligent, lukewarm, and averse to the Angelic Salutation which has redeemed the world; second, that those who are devoted to this wonderful salutation bear the greatest sign of predestination; third, that those who have received from heaven the favor of loving the Blessed Virgin and serving her with affection should take the utmost care to continue to love and serve her until she causes them to be placed in heaven by her Son in a degree of glory consistent with their merits (Alan).
